Kef International

Not yet reviewed by a lawyer. The company details are correct and everything this page says about how the system handles data was written against the running code and verified against it. That is not the same as legal sufficiency — Kef collects passports, Teudat Zehut and children’s identifiers, which the Israeli Privacy Protection Law and the GDPR both treat as sensitive. Have a lawyer read this page, then delete this block.

Privacy notice

This page explains what the shipment portal does with your personal information. It covers the portal only. It does not cover the rest of your relationship with Kef International, which is governed by your service agreement.

Who is responsible for your data

KEF INTERNATIONAL LTD (כיף אינטרנשיונל בע”מ), company number 514854827, of 2 Giladi Street, Jerusalem, Israel ("Kef", "we") is the controller of the personal data described here.

For any question about your data, or to make any of the requests described under Your rights, write to info@kefintl.com.

What the portal collects

Your email address

You sign in with the email address already recorded against your shipment. The portal does not create an account for you and there is no password to choose or remember.

Your shipment record

The portal reads your shipment from our customer system each time you open a page: where your goods are, the vessel and container, the dates, and which customs documents your file needs. It does not keep its own copy.

Documents you upload

The documents Israeli Customs requires in order to clear your shipment. Depending on your status these include passports, Teudat Zehut, Teudat Oleh, visa pages, customs registration confirmations, invoices for new items, and an insurance declaration.

These are sensitive documents and we treat them as such. They contain government identifiers, and in some cases the identifiers of your spouse and children. We ask for them because a customs declaration cannot be filed without them, and for no other purpose.

What we log

When you sign in or send a document, we record that it happened: the email address, the shipment, which document type, the time, and the network address the request came from. We keep these records to investigate problems and misuse.

We deliberately do not log the names of the files you send, because people commonly name a file after the ID number inside it.

Where your documents are stored

Into your shipment's folder in Kef's Google Workspace, alongside the rest of your file — the packing list, the bill of lading, the customs declaration we prepare for you, and your invoices. This is the same folder our staff have always used; the portal changes how documents reach it, not where they live.

The portal itself keeps no copy. A document exists in the portal's memory only for the seconds it takes to pass it to that folder.

Who can see your documents

We do not sell your data, and we do not use it for advertising or share it with anyone for their own marketing.

Companies that process data on our behalf

WhoWhat forWhere
Google (Workspace, Cloud) Storing your shipment folder, running the portal, sending your sign-in link EU and United States
Zoho The customer system holding your shipment record United States

Both are bound by contract to process data only on our instructions. Because your move usually spans several countries, your data is transferred between them — under the safeguards those contracts provide.

How long we keep it

Your documents stay in your shipment folder for as long as we keep that file. Two things drive that:

We do not delete a shipment folder on a fixed schedule today. If you want your documents removed, write to us and see Your rights below.

Cookies

One cookie, called kef_portal. It holds your signed-in session and nothing else — no tracking, no analytics, no advertising, nothing shared with any other site. It lasts eight days, or until you sign out.

Because it is strictly necessary for a service you asked for, we do not ask for consent to set it. You can sign out at any time to clear it.

How we protect it

No system is perfectly secure. If a breach affects your data we will tell you and the Privacy Protection Authority as the law requires.

Your rights

You can ask us to:

Write to info@kefintl.com. We will respond within the time the law allows.

One honest limit on deletion. While your shipment is being cleared we cannot delete the documents Customs needs — the declaration cannot stand without them. And after clearance, customs and tax law require us to keep certain records for a set period. Outside those constraints we will delete what you ask us to, and we will tell you plainly which parts we cannot and why.

If you are unhappy with how we have handled your data you can complain to the Israeli Privacy Protection Authority, or to the data protection authority where you live.

Children

The portal is not for children's use. Your documents may name your children — a Teudat Oleh lists them — and we handle those details the same way as the rest of your file.

Changes

If we change this notice we will update the date at the top, and tell you if the change is significant.
